We operate scheduled passenger air transport services and charters.

Our main base is Wellington, New Zealand. We fly to Christchurch, Picton, Blenheim, Nelson, Westport, Taupo, Napier & Paraparaumu.

Sounds Air has been operating for 30 years

We currently employ over 60 staff.

Sounds Air operates 9 aircraft – 5 Cessna Caravans and 4 Pilatus PC12’s

A mix of leisure travelers, domestic and international and domestic business travelers

We were the initial setup client for Takeflite in 2002 and have grown with them since.

A card system using papers pencils and erasers – scalability and accuracy for our passengers was not possible with this process. 

Everyone within our operation use Takeflite. Our ops staff wouldn’t live without it - whether it be schedule/ maintenance planning or rostering using the flight and duty system. Our front of house/ check-in staff use it for the check-in of passengers/ flight manifests/ COG. The flight crew use it for planning/ recording flight information. Our Reservations team – they love the SAAG screen where they can see all the flights/ seats available at one glance. Takeflite is the glue of our operation – it holds us all together and keeps everyone on the same page!

Our customers can now book their tickets on their smart phone/ iPad/ tablet easily with seamless integration between the website and the booking portal 24/7.

We can now operate as an airline. Pre Takeflite it was an organized shambles.
