Fares and Fare Conditions

As an inventory manager you can now set up your Fare's and Fare Classes to specify whether the Fare or Fare Class is allowed to be Rescheduled, Cancelled or Refunded. You can now also set an optional cancellation fee.

Rescheduling

- New columns have been added to display the reschedule settings in the fare class listing screen, you can select to switch these settings on or     off from this screen

'Search For Flights' Visual Screen Changes for Reschedules in Takeflite

- You can now right click for a menu option to allow easy access to the 'Edit Fare' / 'Edit Fare Class' screens
- A custom reschedule fees and update label description has been added

General Notes of interest for the Fare and Fare Class Rescheduling functionality

- When a fare is booked, Takeflite will store the current value of the 'Allow Reschedule' and 'Reschedule Fee' against the booking so that if    the fare/fare class settings are changed, the booking will still honor the settings as they were at the time of booking
- If you are rescheduling a booking internally, if the Fare does not allow reschedule then a warning is displayed and you can opt to continue anyway
- If you are dragging bookings or fixing bookings, the warning about not allowing reschedule will not be displayed. It will only apply if you are rescheduling an individual booking and going via the search screen
- If there is a clash between the Fare and the Fare Class settings, then it is the Fare settings which will take preference
- If there is more than one reschedule fee among the fares, then the highest reschedule fee among them is the one which will be used when rescheduling
- If you are rescheduling an entire return booking, and each leg has its own reschedule fee, then Takeflite will apply the highest reschedule fee to the booking

Refunds

Fare and Fare Class Screen Changes for Refunds in Takeflite

- New fields for both 'Allow Refund' and 'Refund Fee' have been added, both of which can be of 0 value causing the system to use the site setting defaults
- A text description has been applied next to the Refund Fee field so that the client can see what the default fee is
- New columns have been added to display the Refund settings in the fare class listing screen, you can select to switch these settings on or off from this screen
- The fare setup screen is now split into 2 tabs. One is labelled 'General' and one is labelled 'Reschedule/Refund'

Search For Flights Screen

- The hover label information now displays if the fare can be refunded and what the refund fee will be

General

- When a fare is booked, Takeflite will store the current value of the 'Allow Refund' and 'Refund Fee' against the booking so that if the fare/fare class settings are changed, the booking will still honor the settings as they were at the time of booking
- If there is a clash between the fare and the fare class settings, then it is the fare settings which take preference
- If there is more than one refund fee among the fares, then the highest refund fee among them is the one which is used
- If you are refunding an entire return booking, and each leg has its own refund fee, then Takeflite will find the highest refund fee and use that
